How long do viruses live on carpets, upholstery, and other surfaces?
According to a recent study called Persistence of coronaviruses on inanimate surfaces and their inactivation with biocidal agents the novel coronavirus can survive anywhere from 2 hours to 9 days on a surface, including carpet and upholstery in your home and office.
Many factors affect the lifespan of viruses. These include temperature, humidity, and surface porosity.
A study called Survival of Influenza A(H1N1) on Materials Found in Households: Implications for Infection Control revealed that viruses remain infectious twice as long on non-porous surfaces, like plastic and metal, as opposed to porous surfaces like clothing and wood. Although carpets and upholstery are porous, they can also be cool and dry.

Always ensure that you hire certified and trained technicians when hiring a service provider for your facility disinfection or decontamination. You won’t get the best decontamination if they use a standard sprayer instead of a fogger.
We use a non-toxic, noncorrosive disinfectant that kills 99.999% bacteria and viruses including Coronavirus. The treatment causes minimal disruption and leaves the space free from pathogens. Approved for EN14476 EN13697 EN13697 EN13623 EN1650.
ClO2 has a higher performance capability than almost all other chemicals. Our specialists are fully qualified and have the best fogging equipment. Industrial foggers are great for quickly fogging large areas, sensitive areas, and electronics.

FREQUENTLY ASKED Questions
Clean Solutions uses disinfectant foggers to provide both preventive cleaning as well as decontamination services. This is a more efficient method than traditional pump spray disinfection that is commonly used by businesses. Foggers are faster than regular pump sprayers. A fogger can disinfect approximately 15,000 square feet. This is 10X faster than a standard pump sprayer. The fogging system reduces particles to a smaller size which allows for better coverage and uniform distribution of chemical disinfectants. The size of the particles is smaller so it may be less destructive to materials sensitive to moisture like paper and fabric.
We recommend that you wait at least one hour before you return to the facility.
Before you start any treatments, please ensure that all electrical sockets are turned off or covered.
Take out fragile items and papers that might be damaged by moisture.
To prepare for disinfection, clean any dirt or grime from surfaces.
Make sure we are aware of any organics or exposed untreated wood..
You must ensure that all electrical cords and “trip hazards” are removed. Our technicians must be safe!
Our products are compliant with the EN 14476 2103 + A2/2109 standards. They are thus effective against coronaviruses.
After treatment is completed, you will receive a proof-of-disinfection certificate with your company name.

Clean Solutions™ provides specialty services such as vehicle remediation, removal of tear gas, and cleanup from hoarding. Each service presents unique challenges and requires expertise.

A vehicle accident or blood spillage requires more than a simple wipe-down of biohazards and debris. To properly disinfect and eliminate lingering pathogens, it requires a chemical treatment.
Tear gas can cause severe physical reactions and is very difficult to eradicate. Tear gas removal requires experience, careful planning, and specialized equipment. The irritating effects of tear gas can last for months and render the property uninhabitable.
Many people don’t realize the dangers to their health and safety that cleanups involve hoarding of biohazards. These hoarding situations can be worsened by the need to move large quantities of material and unknown bacteria growth.
Clean Solutions adheres to all applicable regulations and follows strict protocols in each case. These are delicate situations and we offer immediate assistance with discretion.
Clean surfaces are the best place to apply disinfectants. If you require deep cleaning, we can help. It all depends on what material was used and how clean the area is. HEPA vacuuming, steam cleaning and air scrubbing are all available commercially. Everything can be cleaned, including windows, walls and floors. DISINFECTION TECHNOLOGIES WE OFFER
Manual and mechanical disinfection can be applied in a variety of ways. Manual disinfection techniques include mopping, wiping, and hand spraying. Fogging and electric spraying are two examples of mechanical disinfection. Both methods have the same goal: to achieve the EPA recommended dwell time. To document the appropriate dwell time, we use digital photos and timers.
Our hospital grade, Military strength disinfectant can be used in a green-friendly manner and has a very short dwell time. It has been approved by the EPA for Coronavirus disinfection. It is safe to use and does not require respiratory protection. After disinfection, you can resume work immediately. Your customers and employees will be safe from harmful chemical vapors.
ULV fogging is an acronym for ultra-low volume. But don’t let that fool you. This refers to the size of the droplet produced, and not the volume of liquid it atomizes. The droplet size is measured in microns. It can range from 5 to 120 depending on the fogger. Combining a pump and blower, atomize and push the liquid into the air. The more liquid you push, and the smaller the droplet, the greater the coverage. There are many ULV foggers available, including automated foggers that can release liquids at a specific time and industrial units that fill large warehouses quickly.
Our hurricane nebulizer technology is perfect for our clients with very large spaces that need disinfection service daily or weekly. It uses a fine mist to kill microorganisms and on the other hand it also sanitizes your space. Thus, generating microparticles and nano-particles of disinfectant into all the cracks and crevices.
We also specialize in disinfection and infection control, consequently, delivering an unmatched level of performance. We provide value to our customers through exceptionally effective and economical disinfection systems. We engineer and build custom automated systems for our clients.
We will wipe down the touch points and then treat all remaining contact surfaces with the disinfectant using a fine mist. This ensures that no other areas are neglected.
Clean Solutions can help your business get back on track in a safer and healthier environment for your staff, customers, and everyone who visits your facility. We disinfect hard surfaces and non-porous surfaces in your building with a 99.99% efficiency rate. We also clean porous surfaces. IFC guarantees that your space has received the best disinfectant treatment available.
- HVLP fogging refers to high volume, low pressure fogging. This fogging service applies the correct amount of disinfecting solution or other solution to the appropriate place. This commercial fogging service works best in areas containing electronics, sensitive factory equipment, and occupied areas. Although it takes slightly longer than ULV fogging, there is less waste of disinfectant. It is very precise in its application. These foggers are available to outfit company vehicles and trailers.
Fogging is the best option if malodor is a concern. Our thermal fogging services can quickly eliminate odors from areas that have suffered recent fire damage. Deodorizing is only possible if the source has been removed.
Please read and follow all instructions that come with the package before using our products. People can get sick from breathing any type of fog, mist or water. Moreover, few products on EPAList N have been specifically designed to fog. According to the EPA, it is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a way that is inconsistent with its labeling. Other than legal consequences, creating an environment that is immediately hazardous to the health and life of occupants can have serious consequences. The permissible exposure limit (PEL) is listed on the SDS sheet. Industrial disinfection fogging requires that the PEL is not exceeded. This is a crucial safety component. Discuss your options with the company’s safety and health officer.
For professionals, OSHA requires that a MSDS be on site for each chemical used. These resources are available for free download here. The type of organic and porous materials used in the facility is another consideration. The structural integrity of a material like cardboard can be compromised if it becomes saturated. This can be avoided by closely monitoring the application method and the ambient conditions.

Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation(UVGI() is a sterilization application that uses short-term wavelengths UV(UV B UV-C) light to kill/inactivate Microorganisms By destroying nucleic acids Disrupting their DNA They are rendered unable to perform essential tasks, cellularFunctions. UVGI can be used in many applications such as food, air, water, surfaces and more.
In water purification UV-C light at the Earth’s surface is weak because the ozone layer in the atmosphere blocks it. UVGI can make circulating air and water systems inhospitable to pathogens like bacteria, viruses, and molds. To disinfect air and water, UVGI can be combined with a filter system. We conceptualize and build custom automated systems for our clients.
Disinfect your space with electrically charged nano-particles. Electrostatic spray cleaning is the best choice for electronics, desktops, floors, and walls that require a spotless finish. Electrostatic spray cleaning is also a good option for equipment and difficult to reach areas. If an item of equipment is frequently used, it will be cleaned with electrostatic spray cleaners. The electrically charged disinfectant nanoparticles bond to the underside of things, in cracks and crevases, and they have a stronger force than gravity so the particles don’t just fall to the ground like some other methods.
- Thermal fogging is a process that evaporates solvent to create a gas instead of atomizing liquid. This fog is used primarily in deodorization, but it can also be used to disinfect and decontaminate. These foggers offer incredible coverage. The area must not be occupied during the thermal fogging service for safety reasons. Expect a longer wait time before the occupants return. This is usually six to twelve hours. If necessary, you can speed up the waiting period by encouraging air changes using our industrial air movers.
This includes any inanimate human touch points such as light switches and door handles, file drawer pulls, desk handles, and file cabinet drawer pulls. Clean Solutions uses treated towels such as microfiber cloths to disinfect these areas.
The services of decontamination cover everything from nuclear to biological clean-ups. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) classify hazardous waste clean ups into 5 different categories including chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive, also known as CBRNE. CBRNE is a hazardous waste operation and emergency response situation that requires decontamination training for all companies. Clean Solutions™’ decontamination team receives this training. We follow the OSHA HAZWOPER guide (29 CFR 1910.120(q).
We also, as required by law, provide all employees with appropriate levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) under the HAZWOPER standard (29 CFR 1910.120(q)) sub part 1. The PPE used depends on how hazardous the substance release is, which includes the quantity and potential health effects to workers. Workers involved in decontamination work should also have proper immunizations including Tetanus A and B.
Our decontamination team is highly qualified, certified, and has extensive experience. Our team is familiar with large projects that involve multiple industry experts as well as multiple materially interested parties. It is not unusual for additional experts to be required during large projects. The vast network of experts in the industry, including engineers and industrial hygienists, is familiar with these types of projects. They are available to help if necessary.
Clean Solutions’ key attributes include its safety and low toxicity. Chlorine Dioxide is a Category IV toxicity rating, which means it has no harmful effects. It can be directly applied to HVAC system ductwork.
This product has a low EPA toxicity rating, meaning that there are no adverse skin (eyes), ocular (eyes), inhalation(breathing) or ingestion (swallowing). A biocide that is effective in killing a variety of bacteria, protozoa, viruses, chemical decontamination elements, algae, fungi, mold, yeast, beta lactams and more.
